snow days and sedimentary rock

When you're a senior in high school and you roll out of bed only to find out that school is cancelled, what's the first thing  you do...?
Obviously make plans to go sledding! DUH.

So that's just what we did. All bundled up and way more excited than we should have been and we were ready to go.

Guys... I have THE FUNNIEST friends. Seriously every 10 seconds I'm laughing so hard I almost pee my pants.
^^there's abbie about to fly off a cliff..^^

Also, we went sledding at the sand dunes. This was a totally rad idea except for the fact that there was only like, 3 inches of snow covering the mountainous sand mountain. It was weird because we could pick up chunks of sand that had layers! It was sedimentary rock! So you could say that while we were sledding, we were also being scientists. No big deal.

It also looked like a sandwich. HA sandwich. Get it? LOL @ US.
^^abbie makes a good sedimentary rock/sandwich model^^

^^in the back of this pic you can see joel and tannis. they were making a jump. after watching them for like 10 minutes and nearly freezing our booties off, we decided to go off their jump (even though it wasn't finished).joel was MAAAADD. but we did it anyways and it was hilarious because in 3 clean sweeps we demolished that thing. and then abbie said, "sorry joel, we didn't want to destroy your dreams, we just wanted to destroy your jump." REAL funny guys, i'm tellin' ya.^^

^^2 things... this pic sucks and that's some stranger's car.... WIN^^

^^it was also so bright that we couldn't take a normal looking picture. its fine^^

No school is the best thing that could have ever happened to a Monday. Also, I'm passionate about sledding. And one more thing, my friends are cool.

ps...... we worked on Lyndsey's school science cell project thing for 12 hours yesterday. What I learned from this was that I'm basically pro at doing homework that's not mine.... Is it a problem? Nahhhh.....
