spir-rit van!!!!

Two words: Spirit Van. Three words: Spirit Van Clan.

We had the raddest ride to the football game yesterday. It was INSANE. And also probably one of the funnest nights of my life. We jammed thirteen bodies into that beaut of a van and partied all the way to Pocatello. We screamed. We instagramed. We sang. We laughed so hard we cried. It. Was. Incredible.

Our boys in blue played in the Holt Arena and absolutely killed it. It was close the whole game, but at the very end, we pulled through and scored some football points and won by 1!! Oh man. It was crazy up in there.

//see that score board? grizzly pride\\

We were the most obnoxious kids that ever were. Seriously. By the end of the game, we all sounded like we smoke a pack a day. It was that bad. But holy fun. And we all decided that we're gonna roll up to every away game in that beast. I'M SO STOKED.

We are the clan with the van with the plan, and we are the champions of all things spirit.

I love that spirit van.

my life

I guess I should probably blog about my life now. Seeing that it's been a whole week! Let me give you the shortened version....

NOTHING HAS HAPPENED.

Of course, that's not entirely true..

+We freaking came back from being down by 2 at half to win 4-3 against Hilcrest. Boo-Yah! (yes i scored)

+I actually like the book we're reading in English and I plan on finishing it for real. This is a HUGE deal people.

+My AP government teacher makes me laugh so hard I almost pee my pants Every. Day.

+Football games are fun because I'm a SENIOR. Therefore I get to stand on the SENIOR fence. It's the life.

+I've written an essay.

+Fun fact........ bed time is my favorite time second to game time and right before food time.

//football game peeps\\

//i'm such a champ at taking notes. this deserves an award\\

Aaaaaaaaand that's all folks! Happy Wednesday!

last first day

Well kids, the first of 172 days of my senior year is over and done. And all I wanna do is take a nap. WHEW! Talk about wake up call (literally). I guess going to bed at 1 am in the morning and waking up at 10 am in the same morning for three months straight isn't very good training for nine months of school. Whatever. I'm over it.

Since Rose and I are just the coolest kids that ever walked this planet, (i can pretend right?), last year we decided to look completely ridiculous on the first day of school. People normally wear their new clothes and get all fancied up. But not us. Today? We were forest rangers. Can I get an AMEN?!

//nature calls\\

So far, Senior year is looking pretty good. Classes are chill, friends are the bomb, and we are the kings of campus. Seriously. How much better can it get?

And this is what I've decided is the theme for my final year of high school.......... NO REGRETS
This is the time to just have fun. Be nice to everyone. Don't let the little things get to you. Get freaky with school pride. Pay in quarters for every single activity/event. Stay positive. And live in the moment.

Let's kill it kids. And let's make it a year to remember.

top 20-summer

20. So I had my first job this summer. Selling fireworks. And the best part was that I was a manager. Holla at ya woman. It was really fun/hectic/stressful/so awesome all at the same time. And I'd do it again in a second.

19. We made it to the cabin this summer. Only once. But hey! I love that place so I'll take what I can get. The only bad part of the day was that Jake sliced his hand open on a can of beans. Really funny but really sad. He now has six stitches. Crazy stuff happens in the wilderness.
//that canoe life.....looking good mom\\

18. We went school shopping in Salt Lake for like three days. I hate shopping but I love getting new clothes. So I guess it was an acceptable sacrifice. Especially since I got four pairs of shoes out of it.
//this is a little embarrassing\\

17. Long boarding is the funnest. And I got pretty good at it this summer. I'm just a real life skating hipster.
//just check out that swag\\

16. I love that during the summer I get to work out every single day. It makes me so happy and I feel 1,000 times better. It's awesome. (no pics because i obviously don't take them while i run. i'm not that weird)

15.Starting this blog of course! It's been super fun to document my life in a different way. YAY for blogging.

14. Guys. I have the best friends in the world. And the best part of summer is being able to hang out with them and have late night adventures every single day. I love being a kid just for that reason. Shout out to my home girls and my top dudes! You know who you are.
//one time, we made waffles at midnight\\

13. I loved getting to see my pal Burton from EFY. That was such a happy friendship time. (no picture for this one.... frown)

12. Redecorating my room was killer. I love it. It's cool. It's fly. I got to use power tools. So basically it was an all around win.

11. Family time is the bestest time. And hiking up to Iron Bog lake was no excuse. It was so much fun!

10. My buddy Gabe and I have this thing we do regularly. It's called walk around the river at night. We just walk and talk and it's a really good way for both of us to just relax. I love those walks with that awesome boy.
//pre late night walk. we can't sit still for a nice picture to save our lives\\

9. SOCCER CAMPS. That's all.

8. Sunsets are beautiful and wonderful and inspirational and magical and they make me oh so happy. Summer is the most perfect time for sunsets. They're always so good! I have 74742705638 pictures of sunsets just from this summer.

7. I love color. I love running. I love that these two things were combined for the color vibe 5k. It was sooooooooo-o-o fun-un-un.

6. The Park City soccer tourney at the very beginning of the summer was awesome. It was the absolute best way to end the best season. (no picy pics)

5. Boating is my favorite summer activity. Too bad I don't have a boat. So I guess mooching off of friends to ride in their boat is my favorite summer activity. LOVE.

4. It's my senior season of High School soccer! (insert me screaming)
//we have 11 seniors. that's insane, is it not?\\

3. One Republic officially owns my heart. Going to Utah with my best friends was the best.

2. I really like Chicago. We packed so much adventure into one day, it was nuts.... But it was so fun and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to take a visit.

1. There is so much I could say about my trip to Virginia. It was no doubt my number one favorite thing that I did this summer. Beach, Theme Park, College, American History. It was the best week ever!

I'm a little lot sad that summer has come to an end. But as I sit here thinking about starting my last year of high school tomorrow, I can honestly say that I'm ready. I may be panicking a little, but I'm ready.

Thanks summer. You were too good to me. I'll see you in about 9 months. Cheers!

we are the concert kids

So basically, I have the coolest friends. And we do the coolest things. AKA go to Utah for a One Republic concert. Also AKA the most incredible band I've ever even heard.

So here's how it went. I drove us all the freaking way to Park City where the concert was. (can i just take this time to say i drove all weekend? yeah. that's what's up. champion status.) Since we got there like four hours early, we thought it would be oh so fun to go ride the alpine slide. So we bought tickets and waited in line for almost an hour and a half.... We got to the very front and I was sitting in the slide when all of a sudden they were like, "sorry you can't ride because there's a moose up there and lightning 3.2 miles away." WHAT THE HECK?! We were all soooooo mad. But we decided that the only reason we all felt like punching a brick wall was because we were so fetching hungry. Who cares about waiting in line for almost two hours for nothing when all you want is some f-o-o-d FOOD. So we drove like mad straight to cafe rio.

//the look of being so hungry we just might die\\

Then it was concert time so up to Deer Valley we went. It was an outside concert which was way cool. The place was so crowded and people watching was so funny all night long.

//that brown tent thing was the stage\\

Sara Bareilles was the opener. She sucked. She has a really nice voice when she sings, but she lacks any class. She forgot the words to her own lyrics, her songs are the most depressing things I've ever heard, and she swore at us! C'mon Sara. Whatchu doin'? We cheered when she was done, not because we liked what she did but because we were so glad she was leaving!

//this is how we felt about sarah's performance\\

I LOVE ONE REPUBLIC SO MUCH IT HURTS. They were perfect. And that's all I have to say about that.

//love love love love love love love love love\\

So after nearly losing my voice and falling in love with that stinking band over and over again after every single song, the concert was over and I was a happy kiddo. We then drove to Salt Lake to meet up with my parents and call it a night at the Little America. Whew..... Such an awesome day.

BUT WAIT. The trip didn't end there. That would've been lame. The next day we got all fancied up and went to music and the spoken word at the conference center on temple square. I love motab. They're some really cool old people.

//we clean up nice\\

Then we ate some food (obviously). Then we drove back to Park City to ride that dang alpine slide! No lightning, no moose. And it was so much fun. Then it was time to go home. We blasted the best music the whole. way. home. and sang at the top of our lungs the whole. way. home. And it was so much fun

I like my friends. And I like One Republic. I liked this weekend too and I liked that it was such a cool way to end the summer.
