real talk: June 2014

I got to go to the happiest place on earth for a SECOND TIME this year, all thanks to my sissy and her dance team. Xtreme ballroom does this big tour every summer and since Lynds is on the junior gold team, she got to go. And since they got invited to perform IN DISNEYLAND duh my mom and I were going to go too. So we did. And it was mega fun.

But first, they performed in Salt Lake and St George (on the first day). I was just expecting to do my own thing with my mom and enjoy a nice vacay with the occasional encounter of the dance team (when lynds needed us).

I was wrong.

That first day, my mom and I were in charge of picking up food for everyone. We had to get 25 pizzas and shove all of them into our car. So pretty much, the whole rest of the trip, I wanted to gag every time I got into the car because it smelled so bad.

So while my mom was helping to set up with food and stuff, I just wandered around like a lost puppy. I didn't know anyone, I wanted to go to the hotel because I was freaking tired, and I got hit on by some dude who was there for single adult volleyball. YUCK with a capital Y.

I thought... If this is how the whole trip is going to be then what have I gotten myself into....

Thankfully, after that it wasn't so bad. Once we got to Anaheim we could finally take a deep breath and get all excited because we were going to DISNEYLAND for the next two days. YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!

We went to Disney the whole first day. It was so magical. I ate 4 dole whips (we decided that if we eat food in heaven, it's going to be dole whips), I cried during fantasmic, and I made my mom go on the tea cups. Such a perfect day.

The next day we went to California Adventure and learned that Tower of Terror was broke and that it wouldn't be working for the whole rest of our trip! WHAT THE JUNK?! But we got over that as soon as we went to Radiator Springs. (that place is seriously so awesome). Lyndsey danced this day on the hollywood back lot stage so that was pretty cool. (totally mega super awesome actually). We ate gluten/dairy free pasta, played the funnest game while waiting in lines, used the crap outa fastpasses, and finished the day with Dumbo. Such a perfect day.

The next day we went to Universal Studios because the kiddos were performing there too. It was not nearly as awesome as Disney. There was no magic at all! They were playing freaking eminem instead of the music from fantasmic as we walked in. Not cool. But oh well. It was still a fun day. The director of Xtreme Ballroom has a 4 year old daughter who we got to take care of for a little while. She quickly became my new buddy and her favorite thing was standing in front of the mist fans. She was so funny! We went to the Despicable Me store so she could pick out a minion (minions are her favorite) but the first thing she runs to is the fart gun. So what did we buy her? A fart gun. And what did she do with it? Farted in peoples face. SOOOOOOO FUNNY.

Then the next day was our last day at Disneyland (tears). Lyndsey came with us all day today so I finally had someone to act like a little kid with haha. (she didn't want anything to do with us all week. especially when her friends were around. i guess we were embarrassing! but please. im like the funnest kid ever. why wouldnt you want to be seen with me? oh well). Man I love Disneyland. We stayed this day until 1 am. our car was the very last one in the lot. It was seriously so awesome.
