freshman year? check

Guys. I did it. I made it through my first year of college!

Second semester was a whirlwind to say the least. So much happened within four short months. Some of it was pretty ugly. Some of it I look back on and think, "How in the world did I survive that?". But I did it! And if Zac Effron was to walk up to me today and ask me to marry him on the condition that I go back to the beginning and not go to SVU, I would only slightly hesitate before saying no way Jose. Plus also, true love shouldn't have any conditions. Sorry Zac.

Anyways.... don't ask me to summarize my first year/second semester of college because you'd be listening to me ramble on for hours.

So here's the shortened version:

I made lifelong friends who love me unconditionally. We can talk about the quality of our poop one minute and then discuss the purpose of our lives here on earth the next. My squad is my family and I would've died this past semester without them.

I have really attractive best friends. Just sayin.

I learned that it is indeed possible to function on three hours of sleep a night for several weeks in a row. Thank you Ryan for giving the 6am weight training slot to the women's soccer team. Thank you Dr. Schramm for making me lose sleep over cramming for your ridiculous tests. Thank you Masen Fenn for making it so hard to be responsible when there is fun to be had at 2am. Thank you Netflix for playing the next episode in just fifteen seconds when I am so desperately trying to go to sleep.

These pictures speak for themselves.

If it's a Friday night and we're slightly hungry with nothing to do, WE'RE GOING TO CHIPOTLE. This place was sent to Earth by the Gods. It's heaven wrapped in a tortilla. Or mixed in a bowl. Whichever you prefer. But really..... Chipotle is always a good idea.

Sometimes we would even go to chipotle twice in one week....

***********************************************

All this stuff is good. And I could say so much more. But I think the biggest thing that I took away from this past semester, and from the year in general, is that I CAN DO HARD THINGS. I can stand up for myself. I can pass challenging classes. I can be a starter on the soccer team. I can live 2000 miles away from my family. And really? No big deal.

I LOVE YOU SVU!
